Anjali Patil was raised in the city of Nashik from where she completed her school education from RJCB girl’s high school, Nashik. She was just 14 years old when she decided that she wants to become an actress one day and therefore, she convinced her parents to let her join Center for Performing Arts in Pune. Eventually, she obtained her graduate degree in Arts and that too with a gold medal. After which she enrolled at the National School of Drama in Delhi and obtained her Master’s Degree in Theater Design. Performing there earned her various opportunities to work with not just Indian but many International theatre artists and directors. She also got the opportunity to work alongside veteran Indian actor Naseeruddin Shah during this period.
She made her silver screen debut with Prashant Nair's film titled Delhi in a Day in the year 2011. Her performance earned her a lot of accolades. She then acted and produced an international short film titled Green Bangles. This film was India’s official entry to Women In Film and Television International, Los Angeles and subsequently, was showcased at 15 countries and 44 cities of the world. After coming to spotlight, she finally got her first major Bollywood break when Prakash Jha signed her for his film Chakravyuh. Post this film, she signed a three film-contract with Prakash Jha. She played a pivotal role in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya. He was so impressed by her work that he immediately signed for his next film titled "Mere Pyaare Prime Minister". She was recently seen in Amit V Masurkar’s much-acclaimed film titled Newton. The film has received wide acclaim and so has her performance in the film. In addition to Hindi, she has also acted in Tamil, Malayalam, and Marathi language films as well along with international movies like Oba Nathuwa Oba Ekka.
She will be next seen in films like Sameer and Anand L. Rai’s Nimmo. As per sources, she could also be a part of Pa._Ranjith's next film with superstar Rajinikanth.
