Chetan hails from a very small village from Maharashtra. He is an Indian born cricketer who is currently playing for the Singapore national team. Chetan is an all-rounder but his chief job is of wicket keeping. He started his early cricket in Maharashtra by playing for Maharashtra Under-16s from 1998-99 to 2000-01 seasons and thereafter he played for Maharashtra Under-19s from 2001-02 to 2003-04. After which he relocated to Singapore and represented them ever since 2004.
He has been the backbone of Singapore cricket team. He has been their prolific run scorer and while 2009 ACC T-20 CUP, he was their highest run scorer and in one match he even scored a century of mere 36 balls against the Hong Kong. Recently while playing in Malaysia in the 2014 tri-nation tournament, he set a unique record of scoring a century as well as taking a hat-trick. Thus far he is the only player to achieve this rare in any international cricket match.
