Hiral Patel born on 25th August 1991 is an Indian born Canadian Ace Cricketer. He is also reckoned as the Canada’s future star because of his impressive stroke play. He is a Right Handed Bat and Slow Left Arm Orthodox Bowler.
He made his debut against the Afghanistan on 20th February 2010. He scored a half century in his very first game and didn’t go wicket less either as he grabbed one wicket too. A promising young all-rounder first came into lime light when he smashed Irish bowlers all over the park scoring 88 of just 61 balls in the Sri Lanka Associates T-20 series. He made his ODI debut in 2009 against the Kenyans and couldn’t do much as he got out cheaply for just 7. He idolizes Virender Sehwag and likes to imitate his style of play as an aggressive and dominating opening batsmen. He made his presence felt in the World Cricket League Division One Tournament in Netherlands.
Finally the Stage was set as it was 2011 World Cup and it was the mighty Australians against whom he scored his maiden fifty and showed the world that a star has arrived in the associate nations. So, far he has not been consistent but with age on his side he might turn out to be a great prospect for taking Cricket forward in his Country.
