Karan Wahi was raised in Delhi and completed his school level education from St Mark’s School in Delhi. For further studies, he enrolled at the Indian Institute of Learning and Management in Delhi. He during his childhood dreamt of becoming a cricketer and was even selected for the U-19 Delhi team alongside Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli. A serious injury shattered his dream of becoming a cricketer and thus he decided to pursue a career in the showbiz industry.
He started his professional career by appearing in the famous television series Remix. His portrayal of Ranveer Sisidoiya made him a household name. He was cast opposite famous television actress Shweta Gulati in this show. Since then, he has scaled new heights in his career. In 2009, he was cast to play the lead role in Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari. He became the most sought-after television personality after acting in the famous television medical drama series Dill Mill Gayye. His performance as Dr. Siddhant Modi was well received.
In addition to acting, he has garnered immense fame by hosting the famous television shows. He made his debut as a host with the famous dance reality show Nach Baliye 5 in 2012. He hosted the show along with another famous television actor Gautam Rode. He then hosted the sixth season of Nach Baliye and also hosted Indian Idol Junior and Indian Idol season 7.
This heartthrob of small screen has also tried his hands at the silver screen. He made his silver screen debut with the Hindi film titled Daawat-e-Ishq in 2014. Though, he was in the film with a minor role but was well received. He will be seen in the upcoming Ranbit-Katrina starrer film "Jagga Jasoos".
