Mugdha Chaphekar started her acting career at the young age of 5, as a child artist in veteran actor Dharmendra’s film Aasmayish. She obtained her graduation degree from the D.G. Ruparel College in Mumbai. While she was pursuing graduation, she got the offer to act in a serial and thus she made her adult acting debut with the serial Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan. Apart from that, she was seen in petty roles in series like Solah Singar, Kya Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Hello Dolly and Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin. She got her breakthrough role in the series titled Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari. She was heavily appreciated for her performance as well as the beautiful bridal make that she donned in the show.
In addition to television series, she has been seen in several television commercials like Coca-Cola, Reynolds and Rexona. She garnered huge appreciation by starring in Indian television iconic sitcom series Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo. Currently, she is busy with the show Sahib Biwi Aur Boss in which she plays the female lead opposite actor Vipul Roy.
She created a lot of buzzes after she won the Maharashtra State Award For Best Actress Debut by acting in the internationally acclaimed movie The Silence.
