Career

Nick Cannon is a multitalented personality, a famous American rapper, screenwriter, film producer, actor and there are many more roles he has been into. He lived with and was raised by his paternal grandparents.Later on, his time was divided in two different places where his mother and father used to stay. He got his first break for stand-up comedy on his father's local cable access program.He started his career in television at really young age.He and his friend Steve Groves formed a rap group "Da G4 Dope Bomb Squad".He was signed by Jive records in 2001 and he was featured on the’ Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius ‘ soundtrack. His first self-titled debut album included the single "Your Pops Don't Like Me” which was released in 2003. Cannon formed his own record label’ Can-I-Ball Records’ and had plans to release his second studio album in 2005 but only two singles were released and the album remained unreleased because of his busy acting career. In 2005, he created, produced, and hosted the MTV comedy series Wild 'N Out. He also hosted Nickelodeon's Friday Night Slimetime.
 
He again formed new label named’ N'Credible Entertainment’ canceling his old one in 2009.He served as the host of America's Got Talent from 2009 to 2016.He also worked as a radio host at 92.3 NOW FM and had a weekly chat program titled “Cannon’s Countdown” from 2010 to 2012.He announced to be working on new second studio album entitled ‘White People PartyMusic ‘ on the release of his single “Me Sexy"” in 2013.He released his second mixtape ‘The Gospel of Ike Turn Up: My Side of the Story’ in 2016.Later in 2016, his single “Hold on” was released on iTunes. He is a chairman of TeenNick for Nickelodeon and the creative and development consultant of the network since 2009.

He was born to Beth who was an accountant and James Cannon, a motivational televangelist. He married singer Mariah Carey in 2008 and have twins from her namely Monroe and Moroccan Scott. They divorced in 2016 and Cannon had another son named Golden “Sagon” with Brittany Bell in 2017.
