Pradeep Sangwan is a first class Indian cricketer. He is a left-arm fast medium baller and a right handed batsman. He was born and brought up in Delhi. He had played for the Delhi Under-15 team. He showed an outstanding performance by taking 31 wickets in the 6 matches and he showed nice batting to scoring a total of 63 runs in the final match.
He was even a part of Under 19 Indian team in the World Cup 2008, which was held in Malaysia. He did some splendid balling giving lots of trouble to the batsman. His match against South Africa proved to be a memorable, as he had taken marvelous 5 wickets for 44 runs adding a crucial contribution to the India’s victory. He also made an entry in the India Premier League where he was first selected by the Delhi Daredevils team. In the 2011 IPL, he was selected by the Kolkata Knight Riders team. He is now playing for the Gujarat Lions team.
He had got into a controversy in 2013 IPL when he was tested positive in the doping Test. BCCI had then taken harsh steps against him by banning him from all forms of competitive cricket for 15 months. This controversy had adversely affected his cricketing career. Now he needs to take those extra efforts to improve his game and impress the selectors.
He has a fairly satisfactory IPL record where he played a total of 38 matches balling 790 balls taking 35 wickets giving 1156 runs. His best balling figures were 3 for 18 runs. His balling average is 33. It will be worthy to note that he had played very fabulously in some of the Key matches for his team Delhi Daredevils. This young baller really seems to have some potential to improve his balling.
