Sheetal Mallar was a former supermodel and she literally dominated the whole decade of the 1990s. In the year 1994, she won the Elite Look of the year and Femina Look of the year. She defeated none other than a supermodel, Madhu Spare to clinch these titles.
Though her parents hail from Karnataka but she was raised in Mumbai and completed her schooling from Canossa Convent School and for graduation she attended Sydenham College in Mumbai but dropped out during the final year to pursue a full-time modeling career.
She was first spotted by the leading photographer Gautam Rajadhyaksha. She was just 16 by then. She got her first break by modeling for Danabha Jewellers. She was at the peak of her career during the 1990s and early 2000s and has endorsed several high-end brands in her career. She has endorsed several beauty products including Maybelline products. She has also modeled for brands like Fendi and Armani.
Besides modeling, she is also a photographer and has gathered enough experience behind the camera as well. She has worked as a photographer at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week where she shot a series of backstage photographs.
She was all set to make her acting debut in John Abraham starrer film Madras Café but was in the end replaced by Rashi Khanna.
