With very fewer women participation in the comedy writing, she is indeed an inspiration who is a comedian, writer and also an actress. She wrote her own series Inside Amy Schumer which was aired on Comedy Central in the year 2013.

 

Her father had a small baby furniture shop and when she was 12 her father’s good business growth resulted in her good financial status. She also a young sister who is a writer like her. Her parents were divorced later and she then moved to Long Island where she did her schooling from Southside High School in New York. Since her school days, she was famous as the Class Clown and later made a career in the same. She then attained a degree in theatre from Townson University. She did a play “Keeping Abreast” where she played the role of a lady suffering from breast cancer.

 

Her career didn’t begin on a good successful note and later she did the fifth season of NBC reality television show “Last Comic Standing” and gained the fourth position. She then starred in Comedy reality show Reality Bites Back in the year 2008. Later she went on to her own show Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo and had rave reviews for it which were telecasted on HBO. Her skits based on her show Inside Amy Schumer went viral which depicted a harsh reality about sex, feminism and rape culture.
