Ankit Tiwari was born on 06-03-1986 in Kanpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. He is an Indian Playback Singer, Music Director, Singer & Composer who best known for his work in Bollywood industry.

Ankit Tiwari is a music director and playback singer from India. He learned classical music, piano, western vocals, and dhrupad at a young age and had developed an inclination towards music. He won several local competitions at the time. Further, he worked as a production head at a local radio station. However, in December 2007, he moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in singing. He was offered to produce jingles for Pradeep Sarkar’s movie. Later, he composed music for Habib Faisal’s directorial debut film ‘Do DooniChaar’ in 2010. He then composed a song for the movie ‘Saheb, BiwiAur Gangster’. He recorded his first song in Bollywood ‘SahebBadaHathila’ in 2011. 
 
He gained immense popularity with the release of his song ‘SunnRahaHai’ from the movie Aashiqui 2 in 2012. He won multiple awards for the composition of the song alongside JeetGanguli and Mithoon. He also received several awards and nominations for Best Male Playback Singer. In the same year, he recorded a song for the film ‘Isaaq’, which was his first song for the composition of another music director. He then recorded few unpopular songs for movies like ‘Dee Saturday Night’, ‘Kaanchi’, and ‘Samrat& Co’. He received critical acclaim for the song ‘SheesheKaSamundar’ from the movie ‘The Xpose’. Songs like ‘KuchToh Hua Hai’ from Singham Returns and ‘DilDarbadar’ from PK earned him further recognition. His recording of the song ‘Galliyan’ from the movie Ek Villain received wide critical acclaim and won him several awards and nominations. He also recorded his first Kannada song ‘NilluNillu’ in 2014. Some other popular songs by Ankit Tiwari include ‘TuHai Ki Nahi’, ‘BoondBoond’ and ‘KatraKatra’.
