Arjun Rampal was born on 26th November 1972 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. He is an Indian Model, Actor, Producer, and a television personality. He has tasted commercial success with films such as Aankhen, Om Shanti Om, Rock On!!, Housefull and D-Day all which yielded him huge recognition.

Arjun Rampal studied at Kodaikanal International School in Tamil Nadu. After completing school studies, he completed his graduation from Delhi's Hindu College. He had started modelling since his college days and in 2001, director Ashok Mehta signed him for his film "Moksh".Although both films were flop, Arjun Rampal's work was highly praised. In 2002, he won the Face of the Year award from the International Indian Film Academy. In addition as a newcomer; he also got the nomination in the Filmfare Award Star Screen and IIFA Awards for a debutant actor award.
After his debutant, he appeared in the number of films such as Aankhen, Dil Hai Tera, Yakeen and A Ajnabee. In most of the films, he appeared in supporting roles and was not successful in commercial success. In 2006, he guest starred in the multi-cast film Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and played a supporting role in the remake of the 1978 film Don, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Don - The Chase Begins Again.
In the same year, he produced the film 'I See You'. His wife Mehr Jessia was co-producer. In the film, Rampal, Sonali Kulkarni, and Boman Irani were the star cast of the film. Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan played a cameo role in the film. But this film could not become successful at the box office and got a very cold response from the audiences as well as film critics.
Despite all hard work and consistently working in the film industry for a number of the years finally, he got succeeded through the film 'Om Shanti Om' in 2007. Although Arjun Rampal played a villain in this film and this was his first commercially successful film both in terms of commercially as well as critics. In the mid of the year 2007, he starred in Rituparno Ghosh 's English-language artistic film, The Last Lear, with Amitabh Bachchan and Preity Zinta. This film was first screened at the Toronto International Film Festival.
On the release of the film in India's theatres, Arjun received positive reviews for his performance. In 2008, Rampal rocked on!!, In which he played the band's lead guitarist, which was widely acclaimed and won many awards such as Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award.
