Arnab Goswami was born on 07-03-1973 in Guwahati in the state of Assam, India. He is an Indian Journalist, Broadcaster, Television Presenter, Television Personality, Chief-editor, Managing Director & Co-founder of Republic TV.


Arnab Goswami Complete Bio & Career

Arnab Goswami was born to a politician father and her mother was an author. Since his father was in the Indian army, he migrated from one place to another during his early life. He obtained his graduate degree from the famous Hindu College in Delhi. He then went to the UK and obtained his Master's degree in Social Anthropology from Oxford University. He then became a visiting professor at the Sidney Sussex College of Cambridge University.
 
In the late 1990s, he began his career as a journalist by working with the English newspaper The Telegraph in Kolkata. He was then roped in by NDTV and used to anchor the prime time news. When the Times Group launched its channel in 2006, he left NDTV and joined Times Now and became their editor-in-chief. His primetime show The Newshour garnered maximum viewership and has hosted a variety of personalities. He has also hosted Pakistani politicians such as Benazir Bhutto and Parvez Musharraf in his show. He was associated with Times Now for 10 straight years before finally leaving the channel in 2016 due to differences. A year later, he became managing editor and editor-in-chief of newly launched channel Republic TV. Soon, he bought nearly complete ownership of the channel and is today one of the most-watched news channels in India. He has often become a subject of controversy because of the way he has conduct debates on his shows. He created controversy once again in 2020 after he resigned as a member of the Editor's Guild of India on a live show in April 2020. The reason for that being silence of other journalists over the lynching of 2 Hindu monks in Palghar.
