Arunoday Singh finished his schooling in a boarding school in Kodaikanal. He completed his graduation from Brandies University. He once stated that his motivation to become an actor came after he watched the beautiful and legendary actress Marlon Bando in ‘On The Waterfront’. Thus he joined Ney York film Academy and studied acting and eventually participated in plays of Acting Studio in New York.

 

After returning back to India, he auditioned and finally landed a role in Piyush Jha’s film Sikander, where he portrayed the role of a terrorist. After this film, he was seen in supporting roles in films like Aisha and Mirch. He garnered huge acclaim for his performance in Sudhir Jha’s Ye Saali Zindagi in 2011. His performance was lauded by almost all the critics in the country and in the process also won himself a nomination for Best Actor in Supporting Role. After playing supporting roles he shifted his focus and recently played some negative roles in movies like Mr. X and Mohenjo Daro. He was recently seen in the Hindi film titled Blackmail and will be next seen in Don 3.

 

He was seen in the role of Lieutenant colonel Rana Sharif in the Malayalm film 1971: Beyond Borders. Through this film, he made his Malayalam film debut. He was also seen in British film Viceroy's House. He was highly praised for his performance in Alt Balaji's web series titled Apharan - Sabka Katega. He was also seen in Netflix film Love Per Square Foot.
