Benjamin Netanyahu was born on 21-10-1949 in Tel Aviv, Israel. He is a current Prime Minister of Israel. He is also a Writer, Author and Chairperson of the Likud party.

Benjamin Netanyahu soon after his birth relocated to Philadelphia from Israel with his father. He returned to Israel in 1967 and joined Israeli Defense Forces' elite unit, "Sayeret Matkal". He during this time participated in various covert military operations and most notable of them being the dramatic 1972 rescue of a hijacked Sabena passenger jet. He returned to the US once again to complete his education and joined the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He obtained a degree in Business Administration and Architecture. He then started working in a firm called Boston Consulting Group. Soon after the death of his elder brother Yoni, he returned to Israel. Covering and taking part in high profile terrorism activities, he made way for his political career.
 
He started off his career by serving the Israeli Embassy in the US from 1982 to 1984. After that, he served as Israeli ambassador of the United Nations for four years. After that, he got elected to Israeli Parliament and got the opportunity to serve as deputy minister for foreign affairs. After serving in the Parliament for 8 years, he was finally elected as the Prime Minister of Israel in the year 1996. He defeated the incumbent Shimon Peres. He held on to his post till 1999 before biding adieu to politics for some time. 
 
He again joined politics in 2002 and served as the minister of foreign affair and minister of finance. He got elected as the Prime Minister for the second time in 2009 and a peace treaty with Palestine was his main agenda. Though things couldn’t work out and an attack on Gaza was launched in 2015. Israeli forces emerged victorious but in the process taking lives of numerous innocent civilians. He was also accused of bribery and fraud during this time. In 2019 elections, he was again elected as the Prime Minister of Israel and proved his mettle as one of the ardent leaders of the country.

He was born to Benzion Netanyahu and Zila Netanyahu. He has two brothers named Iddo Netanyahu and Late Yonatan Netanyahu. He first married Miriam Weizmann in 1972 and together the couple had a daughter named Noa. The marriage however ended in 1978. In 1981, he married Fleur Cates and divorced her in 1984. He then married Sara Ben-Artzi and together the couple is blessed with 2 sons named Yair and Avner
