    Bibhu Bhattacharya was born on 17-09-1944 in Jharia in the state of Jharkhand, India. He was an Indian Film Actor & Television Actor who known for his work in Bengali Cinema as well as in Television Serials.

    Bibhu Bhattacharya did not take any primary education because he never went to school.But he participated in many acting institutions at the age when he fellows were studied in the school. At the very young age, he appeared in the film "Maryada" released in 1950 along with the top actors of that time "Uttam Kumar". In the Bengali film industry, he was famous with the name "Master Bibhu."In his early years, he started gaining the attention of the notable people of the Bengali films.

    Moreover, he enlisted in the list of popularity with other top actors of Bengali Cinema such as Jahar Ganguly and Chhabi Biswas. As a child artist, he appeared in many films such as Dhruba, Prahlad, Bindur Chhele, Dui Bon and Rani Rashmoni and last one film as a junior artist was “Sagar Sangame”. For a long period of time almost (38) years he did not grab any offer of film, and in the meantime, he kept engaged himself for Tv Serials and most importantly with the theatre.

    But in the later part of his life, he again brought his interest back to appear in the films, and he acted in many films such as Kailashey Kelenkari, Shornomudra, Bombaiyer Bombete, Tintorettor Jishu, Royal Bengal Rahasya and Gorosthaney Sabdhan. In 2011, he died just a day before he finished the dubbing for the film "Royal Bengal Rahasya."In addition, the director Sandip Ray was unable to find his replacement for the character Jatayu because of his ideology to catch the essence of the character and emerged entirely into the role.
