Biplab Kumar Deb was raised in the capital city of Tripura, Agartala. He obtained his B.A degree from the Tripura University. For further studies, he relocated to Delhi. He stayed in Delhi for 15 years and also worked as a gym instructor. After a gap of 15 years, he returned back to Tripura and became active in Politics.
He worked at the ground level for various years and finally was appointed as Party President in Tripura. He led from the front during the 2018 Tripura state elections and helped BJP form the government in the state. He became a powerhouse and BJP’s star campaigner during the elections and helped BJP procure 2/3rd majority in the state along with its allies. He promised to improve employment opportunities in the state and also that he will apply 7th pay commission in the state. After winning BJP’s high command chose him as the Chief Minister and he was sworn in as the New Chief Minister of Tripura by preceded by veteran CM Manik Sarkar. He will be leading party’s 2019 electoral campaign not just in Tripura but in the whole of North East.
