Danielle Wyatt first started playing cricket from a very young age. She represented Staffordshire at the age of 14 in the year 2005. After showing a lot of promise at the age group cricket, she finally made her ODI and T20I debuts for England in the year 2010 against India. She started as a middle-order batsman but soon was asked to open. In the ICC 2013 Women’s Cricket World Cup, she opened in the whole tournament and had a great outing due to which England was able to finish 3rd in the competition. Soon after the world cup, she was again demoted down the order and also lost her place in the ODIs. She took some giant strides at the domestic level and forced her way into the side in the 2016 Women’s World T20I and played the role of a finisher there.

 

In addition to batting, she is also a part-time off-spinner and provided her team breakthroughs just when her team needed them. Her all-around abilities make her one of the best in the shorter format of the game. She was also a part of the 2018 ICC Women’s World T20I. Her hitting abilities have won her Big Bash Women contract and played the full season with Melbourne Renegades in 2018-19. She also played some exhibition T20 matches in India.
