Demi Lovato was a born prodigy and growing up, she won numerous talent competitions and was also chosen to perform at prestigious venues like the Dallas Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day Half Time Show and the Eismann Center. Her showbiz career began at the young age of 10 after she was cast for a regular role in the children’s television series titled Barney & Friends in 2002. She remained with the show till 2004. Along with regular role in this series, she also did some guest appearances on famous shows like Prison Break and Just Jordan.
Her career took some giant strides after she was cast in Disney Channel’s short series titled As The Bell Rings in 2007. She played the main role, however, her role ended after she was cast to play the lead character Mitchie Torres in Disney Channel’s television film Camp Rock. Besides acting, she also recorded three songs with the famous pop group the Jonas Brothers for this film. Thus she began her professional singing career.
After her splendid performance in Camp Rock, she was again cast for Disney Channel’s television film Princess Protection Program. She played the lead role, Princess Rosalinda Maria Montoya Fiore in this film and was cast alongside her good friend, Selena Gomez. She became a household name after starring in Sonny with a Chance in 2009. The series became channel’s most popular show and put her in the reckoning of a star in making. She worked with the series from its inception in 2009 until its conclusion in 2011. She reprised her role of Mitchie Torres for the sequel of her film Camp Rock titled Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam in 2010. Besides performing on the small screen, she has also served as a judge on the famous reality show The X Factor for two seasons from 2012-13. She has also served as the host of the 10th edition of television special We Day (Children’s Charity Organization) in the year 2015.

Her track "Cool for the Summer" from her album titled Confident was among her biggest hits of her solo career.
