Dipa Karmakar was born on 09-08-1993 in Agartala in the state of Tripura, India. She is an Indian Gymnast.

Career

At the delicate young age of six, she began training gymnastics with Soma Nandi and also Bisbeshwar Nandi. She experienced numerous challenges in her early phase due to her usual flat feet. All the way through comprehensive working out, she could come up with an arch in her foot and also developed into an excellent gymnast.

At the moment she started gymnastics, Karmakar was having flat feet, and also the poor physical characteristics of gymnasts should have due to the reason it affected their performance. Through extensive training, she could develop an arch in her foot.

In her junior journey, she obtained the Junior Nationals in 2008. She was an essential part of the Indian gymnastics squad at the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games. In the preliminary stage of her ageing journey, she gotten gold medals in just about all four proceedings in National Games in 2011 held in India.

Dipa crafted her overseas first appearance at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. She won a bronze medal in the Women’s vault and also evolved into very first Indian women who used to obtain a Commonwealth Games gymnastics medal. And in the same year, she completed 4th at the 2014 Asian Games. Following the calendar year, she won the bronze in the Asian Games.

  • The little girl from Tripura, Dipa Karmakar described the record while it became the very first Indian women to flourish in the individual vault final in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
