Eli Manning’s full name is Elisha Nelson Manning. He is a renowned American football quarterback who plays for the New York Giants of the NFL (National Football League). His father too was well-known American football player and he was instrumental in shaping his career. He started his football career in college football as a member of the Ole Miss Rebels football team of the University of Mississippi. 

 

By the time he finished his senior year, he had won several awards such as the Maxwell Award for being the best all-around player of the country. Shortly after his graduation, he was drafted into the NFL by the San Diego Chargers, though very soon he was traded off to the Giants. 

 

In his decorated career, he proved himself by not only being a brilliant player but also became one of the 4 quarterbacks in the history of NFL with over 45,000 career yards, 300 touchdowns, four Pro Bowl appearances, as well as two Super Bowl Championships. Off the field too, he was well-known for his charitable things. He provided assistance to the people who got affected by the Hurricane Katrina. He also came forward and raised funds for the construction of The Eli Manning Children’s Clinics as well through which, he provides free medical assistance. He along with his father and brother has co-authored a famous book titled ‘Family Huddle’.
