Hazlewood is the youngest international cricket player from Australia. Josh did his schooling in the local school at Bendemeer, New South Wales, Australia. He has a profound interest in cricket since his childhood. At the age of 12 years, Josh played cricket with his elder brother in the courtyard of their house. He took part in several tournaments of cricket during his school days. When Hazlewood was just 17 years, he played as a fast bowler for his state New South Wales. He did very well during the game.
Additionally, it was a turning point in his life because of his excellent performance. In November 2008, Josh played internationally first time against New Zealand at Sydney Cricket Ground. The player became very popular among people at a very young age. In 2010, he also showed the best game in a one-day international match for Australia on 22 June. Along with this, he also participated in the under 19 world cup from Australia.
In February 2013, the fast bowler debuted his T20 career against West Indies and earned one wicket by giving 36 runs in 4 overs. He played numerous matches in his playing journey. In which, he performed first time in test matches on December 2014 in Brisbane Cricket Ground against India. Hazlewood got five wickets in the first inning by giving 68 runs. He also played IIC World Cup 2015 and gave an outstanding performance against Pakistan in the quarter-finals.
Apart from this, Josh also saw in the 2019 Ashes series in England. He took 20 wickets in 4 to 5 matches during this series. The player became part of a 26-man preliminary squad. Here, Hazlewood took training for a tour to England following the covid-19 crisis.
