Daniel Keem better known as Keemstar was first seen in a video recorded and uploaded by one of his friends on January 21, 2009. In this video, Keemstar was heard talking trash as well as trolling strangers while playing a Halo 3 multiplayer match. This video garnered more than 100K views, thus bringing him considerable name and fame. In 2009, he was featured on ‘Battlecam’ - a streaming service where people battle against each other and talk trash to gain the top spot. After gaining substantial popularity, Keemstar decided to create his own YouTube channel ‘DramaAlert’ in 2014. On this channel, he started uploading videos on a daily basis, covering drama and controversial topics surrounding online personalities, especially popular YouTubers. Soon after this, he started gaining criticism from the various online personalities he had targeted and people started making videos uncovering Keemstar’s scandalous actions. 

 

This mudslinging has been continuing since then, and today Keemstar is known to be one of the most divisive figures of YouTube. Although he has thousands of haters, he also has a strong fan base and millions of people follow his channels on various platforms.
