His albums had recorded a sale of more than 130 million copies across the globe. ‘People’ magazine and The‘USA Today’ poll, voted him as an All Time Favourite Singer. 
 
He was also a privileged member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. In addition to singing, he was also a record producer, actor, photographer, author, and entrepreneur. He has acted in famous movies like ‘Six Pack’, ‘Christmas in America’, ‘Coward of the County’ and ‘The Gambler’ among others.
