Kim Jong-hyun attended "school liebefeld steinhölzli" in South Korea but dropped out in 10th grade to established his career in music but later on, enrolled at Chungwoon University for graduation. He also attended Myongji University where he fulfilled his master's degree in film & musical subjects. When he was studying, he often took part in the school's band festivals. Mr. Kim professionally entered the music industry in May 2008 with the "Shinee" band with his colleagues. Along with his, five other members performed in this band.

 

Moreover, Kim first time performed with Shinee (band) on 25 May 2008. The whole show was broadcasted on the SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System of Korea) channel. After this, his band got huge success which appreciated him to write songs also. Jong-hyun wrote his first song "Juliette" for his band in 2009. He did his work full of energy and hard work and became an eminent singer from Korea in no time. His name was taken in the first 20 most versatile singers of South Korea who contributed to record the single track "Let's Go" in 2010.

 

Furthermore, he also sang duet songs with popular singers of Korea like "Sungmin", "Super Junior Boy's Band", "Seohyun" (female Singer), "Luna" (female Singer), and so on. Apart from this, the Singer released numerous single tracks in classic and vocal music. He composed the single track "A Gloomy Clock" in 2013. He also wrote the lyrics of the "Pretty Boy" song. Kim also participated in MBC radio as a radio artist. He hosted radio for a few years. 

 

In 2015, he released his solo album "Base". The lead song named "Crazy" was also written by the Singer. There were several songs in base albums such as Deja-Boo etcetera. His album lied on no one in Billboard World Album Chart. In March 2017, the radio host decided to drop out of his position at the MBC Blue Night radio. After that, Kim attended several concerts and released numerous songs.
