Lakshmi Menon was born on 04-11-1981 in Kerala, India. She is an Indian, Amercian, Spanish & French Model who appeared in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle & Allure etc.
Career
Lakshmi Menon got her first break in acting through the ace Malayalam director Vinayan, who first saw her during the live telecast of her performance of Bharatanatyam. In addition, he signed her for the film Raghuvinte Swantham Raziya as Priya. When she acted in the film, she was just studying in the eighth standard. In the next year, she appeared in the Ali Akbar directed Malayalam film Ideal Couple opposite Vineet. In 2012, she made her debut in Tamil film industry from the debutant directed S. R. Prabhakaran film Sundarapandian as Archana.
She impressed the Tamil audiences as well as the film critics through her natural acting and outstanding performance. For that film, she won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress and she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut - South. The Tamil ace director Prabu Solomon was looking for a heroine for his upcoming film "Kumki" but she was noticed by Solomon when he saw her on the south Magazine's cover. In this film, she played the role of Alli alongside with Vikram Prabhu. This was her second successful film and once again, she became the winner of the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress.
After Kumki she signed the back-to-back five Tamil film in the span of one year, she appeared in the films from 2013-14 such as Kutti Puli, Pandianadu, Naan Sigappu Manithan, Jigarthanda, and Manjapai. All these films were acclaimed as the successful films and also declared as the Hit films at the Tamil Box-Office. In the subsequent time, she signed another Malayalam film after her debutant from the Malayalam film in 2011 was Joshiy directed action thriller film Avatharam opposite Dileep and Sijoy Varghese. The year’s 2015 and 2016 was the full mix of Tamil films. At the beginning of 2015, she was cast in the Tamil film Komban opposite Rajkiran and Karthi. In addition, this film was dubbed in Hindi and released in 2017 under the name of Daringbaaz 2. In 2014, she began her journey as a singer and she sang her first song "Kukkuru Kukkuru" for the film Oru Oorla Rendu Raja
