M. J. Akbar Complete Bio & Career

M.J Akhbar is a leading Indian journalist, writer, and politician.  He is at present the Member of Parliament of India 's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (MOS) and Rajya Sabha from MP. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recruited him on 5 Jul 2016 in the Union Council of Ministers. 
He started the weekly newspaper " The Sunday Guardian " in 2010, and he is continuing the editor-in-chief of it. In the past, he has also been the MD of Indian Newspaper of the Daily Multi Edition, along with the founder and global prospect of South Asian English magazine " Asian Age." He has been the Editor-in-Chief of the daily newspaper Deccan Chronicle of Hyderabad. 
His book has been rendered into Italian by the name of "Fertile de Sung," which was released on 15 January 2008 in Rome. His book, based on the crisis of identity and class contest in Pakistan ".He has penned many books, in which Jawaharlal Nehru's biography " The Making of India " and based on Kashmir, " The Siege Within " is being presented. He is also the author of " The Shade of Shord " and " A Cohesive History of Jihad." His recently published book is " Blood Brothers," in which there is a history of events in India and the story of three generations, with the developing relations of the world, mainly Hindu- Muslim.
Akbar also holds significant interventions in politics. He was chosen to the Lok Sabha from Kishanganj in Bihar for the first time as a nominee of the Indian National Congress in 1989. He has been MP from Kishanganj two times. He has also been the spokesperson of the former PM Rajiv Gandhi. On Mar 2014, he had entered the Bharatiya Janata Party and is currently the spokesperson of the party. He is married with Mallika Joseph, his concurrent at "The Times of India" group.

Important Updates: On Oct 2018, Akbar was accused of sexual harassment under the 'Me Too' Movement in India by the, a journalist named Priya Ramani alleged that she was hassled by him in a hotel room when he was editor of a newspaper, The Asian Age at that time.  Despite this controversy, he had resigned from his post on 17 October 2018.
