Malala Yousafzai was born on 12-07-1997 in Swat in the state of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. She is a Pakistani Activist, Philanthropist, Blogger & Writer.

Malala Yousafzai studies from the school founded by her father, Khushal Public School. Though she in an interview said that she would love to be a doctor but it was her father’s wish that she join politics. She was highly inspired by Benazir Bhutto and Muhammad Ali Jinnah. She too started speaking about girl’s right to education. She held a press conference at Peshawar and her speech’s title was "How dare the Taliban to take away my basic right to education?" in 2008.
 
She started receiving threats from Taliban for her actions and she secretly started blogging for the BBC. She used to blog by using the name Gul Makai. For her continued efforts, she was felicitated with Pakistan's National Youth Peace Prize in 2011. In 2012, when she was riding a bus on her way back to school, she was attacked by Taliban and two other girls also got injured in the firing. So was initially treated at the military hospital in Peshawar but after her condition got critical, she was taken to Birmingham, England for further treatment.
 
After multiple surgeries, she finally got cured and even started her schooling in 2013. She was called by the UN to deliver a speech on her 16th Birthday. Her autobiography titled I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban was released in October 2013. She received Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 and became the youngest recipient of this award at the age of 17.
 
12th July 2012 is called Malala Day as it was her 18th Birthday. She opened a school in Lebanon for Syrian Refugee Girls. She raised her voice saying the world needs to invest on books rather than bullets.A documentary film titled HE NAMED ME MALALA based on her life story was released in 2015. She was appointed as UN Messenger of Peace in 2017.
