Mandeep Singh was born on 18-12-1991 in Jalandhar in the state of Punjab, India. He is an Indian Cricket Player.
Career
Mandeep Singh came into the limelight after a good show in the Under-19 World Cup in 2010. He was one of the top run-getters for India in the competition. Soon after, he made his first-class debut for his home state Punjab in the 2010-11 season and has sealed a spot in the Ranji side.
His impressive show in the domestic circuit earned him and IPL contract from Kolkata Knight Riders in 2010, but he could not do much in the three games that he played. He moved to Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) the next season but the story was no different. However, in 2012, he ended IPL-5 as Punjab's highest run-getter and also won the 'Rising Star of the tournament' award. This meant he remained with KXIP, but he did not have a great time in IPL-7. In IPL 8, he was traded to RCB from Punjab and is currently playing for them.
He made his international debut against Zimbabwe in 2016. In three matches that he played, he scored a fifty but has been sidelined since. A few former cricketers believe Mandeep has all the credentials to represent the country in a few years time.
