Mayank Aggarwal studied at the Cotton Boys School and later graduated from  Bangalore Jain University. For Karnataka team, he plays first-class matches and he is an opener of the team. In 2008-09  he was selected for the Cooch Behar Trophy in the squad of  U-19  team and for ICC Cricket World Cup( U-19).In the world cup, he was leading scorer from the Indian U-19 cricket team. In 2010, his name was announced for the Man of the series award for the KPL ( Karnataka Premier League). Moreover, he made a century even in that tournament. 
 
In the 2017-18 Ranji season, he scored  304 runs against Maharastra on  Nov 2017. It was his first ever triple century in his first-class career in cricket. Though it recorded the 50th  triple century in the history of first-class  Indian cricket. He showed the brilliant cricket by scoring 1160 runs in the  2017-2018 Ranji season and with that, he became the leading run scorer of the season. 
In the year 2015, though he played against the team of  South Africa-A, he added 176/133 and produced a solid 203 runs partnership with the company of Manish Pandey on the cricket pitch, blowing the defence untouched with the  372 scores on the board. In the 2011 IPL season, he was bought by RCB. He gave his talent a snapshot during the time he scored 41 runs against the attacking bowling of the Mumbai Indians bowlers. 
 
He was bought at the 2018 IPL Auction by the Kings XI Punjab during the 10 th season of IPL. He had been the leading run-getter in the Vijay Hazare Trophy of the 2017–18 season. His bat roar all over the grounds in that tournament and he scored 723 runs in the  8 matches. The BCCI awarded him the Madhavrao Scindia Award for becoming the Highest Run-Scorer in the Ranji Trophy.
