MC Melody’s actual name is Gabriella Abreu Severino. Her father enticed her to music and she started performing from the age of 2. She came to recognition after she sang a cover of one of her father’s songs, ‘Falem de Mim’. She also posted the same video on her facebook and through that she accumulated herself a lot of fan following. Looking at the response, she soon posted another video which contained her emulation of Christina Aguilera's falsetto. This video became an instant hit and she became an internet sensation overnight. 

 

She then collaborated with Deborah Moreira who was her father’s friend. She then kept connecting to her fans through Facebook. In early 2016, she released an EP called  ‘Melody’. This was the beginning of various other hits that she released later. She partnered with funkira Vakeria funk and launched a track for the 2018 FIFA World Cup which was held in Russia. She and her elder sister together released a single called Tô Bem, Tô Zen. This clip became viral and garnered over 100million views on YouTube.
