Pusarla Venkata Sindhu also known as PV Sindhu is one of the finest players India has produced in the field of badminton. She is a professional badminton player and has represented India on many International and National platforms. 
 
PV Sindhu is a professional badminton player and was born in Hyderabad. She comes from a sports background. Both of her parents are a professional Volleyball player. Her parents P.V. Ramana and P. Vijaya both supported her career in badminton which made her a successful player she is today.
 
PV Sindhu started playing badminton by the age of eight and she used to practice and get trained on the courts of Indian Railway Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunications in Secunderabad. She was always a dedicated and hardworking person and she gave her heart and soul to become what she is today. In the early days of her career, she won a bronze medal in her first International circuit in 2009 at the Sub-junior Asian Badminton Championships which was held in Colombo. She became the first women to win two back to back medals in the BWF world badminton championship and created history.
 
She is a woman of achievements. She became the first woman to win an Olympic silver medal in badminton. She also won the silver medal in the women’s singles match held in the commonwealth games in 2018. She has played a total of 416 matches overall and has won 295 in her entire career till now in singles.
 
PV Sindhu is an exceptional player and certainly an example for all the people who want to make a career in sports. She was honored with the Padma Shri Award in March 2015. She also received the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award for her excellent contribution in the field of sports on 29th August 2016. She was also bestowed with Arjuna Award on 24th September 2013.
 
She is an exemplary player and despite all the achievements she received in such a short career she still continues to do more for her and her country. She is certainly one of the best players India has ever produced. Having a player like PV Sindhu in the country is an honor.
