Patralekha was named by her grandmother. She named her Patralekha as she was a poetess. After pursuing initial education in her hometown, she came to Mumbai for further education. Along with studies, she started modeling as well. Since she always wanted to be an actress, she joined Barry John’s acting school and did an acting course from there.
She finally made her acting debut through Hansal Mehta’s much-acclaimed film Citylights in the year 2014. For her performance, she won herself Best Female Debut award. She was then seen in a negative role Vikram Bhatt’s thriller titled Love Games in 2016. The film was a disaster at the box-office. She will be next seen in Faraz Haider’s Supernatural Romance Comedy film called Nanu Ki Janu. She is cast alongside Abhay Deol in this film. In addition to films, she has also appeared in Ekta Kapoor’s much acclaimed web series titled Bose: Dead/Alive. Though she did a cameo her performance was heavily praised.
