Poomani Complete Bio & Career

Poomani got fascinated by the stories which he used to listen from his mother and other people in community. He was highly inspired by Ki. Rajanarayanan and decided to take up writing. He also got influenced by writings of legendary Malayalam novelist P. Kesavadev's novel Ayalkar. 
 
Some of his novels which were highly appreciated are Agnaadi, Vekkai, and Vaaikkal. He has also penned down some short stories such as Vayirugal, Reethi, and Norungalkal. He has also directed a Tamil film titled Karuvelam Pookka in the year 2000. The film was highly appreciated and earned him a lot of accolades. The 2019 Tamil film Asuran was also based on his novel Vekkai. This film too was highly appreciated. His book Vekkai was also translated in English as Heat in the year 2019 by Juggernaut Books.
