Poonam Pandey started her career as a model and rose to prominence after advancing till last 9 contestants at the Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest in the year 2010. After which she featured on the cover page of some fashion magazines.  The following year she shot for as many as 29 calendars including the Gladrags calendar and in 2012 she appeared on the most coveted Kingfisher Calendar. 

 

She always remains in the news for her bold statements she gives to media or the share them at the social networking sites. She created headlines when she said that if India lifts the World Cup, she will pose nude for her fans but due to BCCI’s opposition she couldn’t fulfill her promise but the following year she again made the same statements that if KKR lifts the IPL trophy, she will go nude and this time she didn’t disappoint her fans as she kept her promise by posing nude for International Business Times. The picture went viral and became the talking point. 

 

Times have changed in Bollywood and porn stars have entered the film industry. After Sunny Leone successfully launched herself in Bollywood, Poonam Pandey too made her Bollywood debut with an adult film Nasha in 2013. However, the film was opposed and at some places, even posters of the film were torn. The film too couldn’t impress the audience and was a flop. After which, she was seen doing an item number in the Kannada film Love is Poison. She has also starred in a Telugu film titled 

 

Malini & Co. in 2015. Soon, she will be seen doing an item number in the upcoming Hindi film titled Aa Gaya Hero.
