Pranav Mohanlal is the son of famous South Indian actor Mohanlal and grandson of K. Balaji, a renowned producer in Tamil Film Industry. He is an assistant director and also an actor. Pranav studied at Hebron School in Ooty. He is a B. A. Graduate from the University of New South Wales in Australia.

 

He started his career when he was so young as a child artist. He always loves to have a low-profile lifestyle. He never lives like a celebrity. In 2002 he acted as a child artist in Thampi Kannanthanam directed by Onnaman. In the same movie, his father Mohanlal was acted in a lead role.

 

Pranav appeared in a movie Punarjani directed by Major Ravi in a lead role as a child artist. He got many appreciations for his acting. He took a break and later in 2009 he acted as a comedian in Sagar Alias Jackie Reloaded. After this movie, he kept himself away from the industry. He re-entered as an assistant director in 2014 and made a Tamil movie Papanasam and in 2015 he made a Malayalam film Life of Josutty.

 

He won Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist in 2002 for the movie Punarjani. His new movies are expected in 2017 which are still under discussion.
