Prithvi Shaw is a popular Indian cricketer and a captain of Under -19s Indian cricket team. He is a right-arm off-spin bowler and a right-hand batsman.He attended A.V.S Vidya Mandir and then Rizvi Springfield high school for his schooling. He is pursuing his graduation from Rizvi College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai.
 
He plays for Middle Income Group (MIG) Cricket Club. He was interested in cricket from childhood. His father encouraged him to perceive his career. His father enrolled him at Virar cricket academy.He received sponsorship from  Indian Oil and  AAP Entertainment signed a contract with him. He became Rizvi Springfield High School’s team captain.He also led the Mumbai under-16 team.
 
He was a teammate of Arjun Tendulkar and Rajeev Pathak was his coach there. He played for Cheadle Hulme School and scored 1,446 runs within 2 months. He made a debut century and also took 68 wickets. In 2013, he played for Cryptics against Middleton Stoney Cricket Club. Julian Wood Cricket Academy’s founder Julian Wood offered him a stint at the academy. He played for Bradfield College in Berkshire. He played in Yorkshire ECB County Premier League for Cleethorpes in 2014. He made a new record scoring 546 runs with just 330 balls in a Harris Shield match for Rizvi Springfield in 2013 which was later surpassed in 2016 by Pranav Dhanawade. He has been roped in by IPL franchise Delhi daredevils for 1.2 crore at the 2018 IPL player auction.
 
He started his first-class cricket for Mumbai in 2016–17 Ranji Trophy in  2017. He was awarded man of the match for his century inhis debut match. He equaled Sachin Tendulkar’s record by scoring a century in his debut match at Duleep Trophy. He scored his first century for India in 5th ODI at under-19 level. He made his debut in List A in 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He leads India's squad as a captain for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He led his team to victory in 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup final against Australia.
