Punarnavi has been working since the age of 13, on school's annual day she did an English play Julius Ceaser and was spotted by Samana of Samana fashion design and through her guidance she had attended many Fashion shows. After she returned to Hyderabad she was trained in Theatre arts at Hyderabad by National Award Winner Mr. Ratna Shekhar founder of Samahara Theater Group along with the guidance and mentoring of Madhusudhan reddy Gooty, who has a vast experience in Tollywood as a writer and actor.

 

She started as a theatre student and ended up in movies at the age 17, her debut as a supporting role in the movie Uyyala Jampala was quite impressive and remarkable,and she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Filmfare Awards South for the very first movie in 2014, her journey from there has started but her studies were never neglected, along with a career in movies she simultaneously majored in Psychology with journalism at Villa Marie and was keen about her education also.

 

She did lead roles in Telugu films like Enduko Emo and Oka chinna viramam tharvatha in 2018. Both the films went unnoticed and she has been out of action since then. She participated in Bigg Boss Telgu season 3 in 2019.
