Rishabh Pant Complete Bio & Career

Rishabh Pant is arguably a teenage prodigy. He shifted his base from the city of Roorkee to Delhi to play his cricket. He was once asked to leave the academy but returned back with a bang and was one of the vital cogs in Indian U-19 team. Rahul Dravid was instrumental in nurturing him as a player and since the U-19 World Cup this teenaged boy has come of age and piled on runs at will in the 2016-17 first class seasons. He created history by scoring the fastest hundred off just 48 balls in a 4-day match. He also scored a triple century against the mighty Maharashtra side. When the senior players like Gambhir and Dhawan struggled to make any contribution, this young lad chipped in with mammoth centuries. For his heroics, he was made the captain of the Delhi domestic team.
He was bought by Delhi Capitals in the 2016 IPL player auctions for INR 1.9 crores. He justified his price tag by playing some match-winning knocks. He was retained by the franchise during 2018 IPL player auctions for yearly fees of INR 8 crores. After a prolific domestic season in 2017, he was included in India’s national team in the T20I series against England. After warming the bench for the first two matches, he was finally given an opportunity but didn’t get enough time to show his skills and scored a 5 not out of 3 balls. He never looked back since that series and has been a regular figure for India in tests. He scored 2 centuries in Australia when India toured Australia. After that selectors decided to try him in ODI's as well when Australia toured India just before the IPL 2019. His keeping was under par and so was his batting. He though had a great outing at the IPL 2019 still was denied a berth in World Cup 2019.
