    S. A. Rajkumar was born on 23rd August 1964 in Chennai, India. He is an ace Indian film music Director. He has made music for all south Indian language films in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada. Jolly jingles are often regarded as his specialty. He is best known for composing music for the films like Raja, Shruthi, and Pudhu Vasantham.

    S. A. Rajkumar's father Selvarajan was a singer who performed in stage shows organized by famous music directors such like  Gangai Amaren, Ilayaraja, and Deva etc. Rajkumar had been a silent devotee of his father's music and enhanced a personal music interest. His mother unearthed his flair for music and convinced her husband to make Rajkumar take some music classes. He was trained in classical music under the counseling of music guru Subbaiah Bhagavathar for three years.
    After completion of his music training, Rajkumar started to organize musical shows on his own and was in search for film opportunities. Come 1987 and director duo Robert-Rajashekar gave him his first major breakthrough by signing him as the music composer for their film Chinna Poove Mella Pesu. Since then, Rajkumar has composed music for over hundred films in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada language films. His compositions for the films such as Suryavamsam,  Unnidathil Ennai Koduthen, Aval Varuvala, Vanathai Pola, Thulladha Manamum Thullum, Vasantham, and  "Priyamaana Thozhi" have all been blockbuster musical hits and regarded memorable for a long time.
