Shah Faesal was born on 17-05-1983 in Sogam Lolab, Kupwara in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India. He is an Indian Politician, Activist, Doctor, Bureaucrat & Civil Servant.

Shah Faesal Complete Bio & Career

Faesal completed his graduation from Jhelum Valley Medical College. He attended the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar, and got an MBBS degree. He also did postgraduation in Urdu.
 
In 2009, he cracked the UPSC civil services exam and becomes the first boy from Kashmir who gets first place in the civil services exam. He was the first Kashmiri candidate to get selected in the general category.
 
During his IAS career, he served as Commissioner of Bandipur district of Kashmir, assistant commissioner of Pulwama, and supervisor of school education of Kashmir.
 
At the age of 35, he resigned from IAS and announced that he is going to form a political party. On 17 March 2019, he declared the formation of party Jammu & Kashmir Peoples' Movement (JKPM). 
 
The first meeting was held at the football ground in Rajbagh area of Srinagar. In June he entered a political alliance with the Awami Ittihad party forming a new party named Peoples United Front.
 
After the decision of taking back the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, Shah was detained by the police as it was supposed that he can create unrest in Kashmir on this matter. Later he was sent to detention as he was trying to take a flight to turkey.
 
The leader applied a writ in Delhi high court against his detention but later his wife withdrew the plea. He was released from detention after 10 months.

Faesal was born to Ghulam Rasool Shah and Mubeena Shah in 1983. Both his parents were teachers. His father was killed by the Militants in Kashmir.

Shah is married to Iram Rashid who is also an officer of KAS. The couple has a son named Jami Faesal.
