Shivakumara Swamiji did his primary schooling from Veerapura & Nagavalli, and later he did their secondary education from Tumkur Government High School. He obtained their bachelor degree from Bangalore University. Their Guru-Kula is having more than 85 hundred children from the age group of 5-16 and provide them free education, sheltering called asTrivida Dasohi and also free food. They don't discriminate among cast, religion and welcome children from all religion or caste with open arms.

Under the direction of pontiff's, an annual agricultural festival is held for the advantageous of the local community. The Govt of Karnataka on their 100 years of the birth anniversary by announcing the inauguration of Shivakumara Swamiji Prashasti institute in 2007.Though India's former president Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam sahib had been visited at the Tumkur and appreciated the progressive work of Swamiji in the field of education as well as their humanitarian work too for the human welfare.

They kept doing hard-work for looking after the poor and orphans by fulfilling their needs like their education fees, three times meal and even providing them the accommodation even during the fag end of his life. On their 100 birth anniversary of Swami Ji in 2007, Govt of Karnataka conferred them the prestigious and highest civilian state award. “Karnataka Ratna award".

Shivakumara Swami died on 21-01-2019 around 11:45 A.M. He died at the age of 111 in Sree Siddaganga Mutt, Tumkur. He was suffering from lung infection, was hospitalised from 03-01-2019 to 16-01-2019. As per his own will, he was shifted in Sree Siddaganga Mutt, Tumkur on 16th January.
