Syed Shahnawaz Hussain was born on 12-12-1968 in Supaul in the state of Bihar, India. He is an Indian Politician & Spokesperson. He belongs to BJP (Bharatiya Janta Party) and has served as a Cabinet Minister from 2003 to 2004.

Syed Shahnawaz Hussain is a well known Indian Politician, former Cabinet Minister, and Bharatiya Janata Party’s National Spokesperson. He belongs to Buzrug Dwar Warisnagar which is one of the villages under Samastipur. He went to Williams High school in Supaul for finishing his higher secondary education. He had completed his Diploma in Engineering from Delhi and Patna.

He has started his career in politics in 1999’s 13th Lok Sabha election and became Minister of State at a young age.During his tenure, he had handled a mixed variety of portfolios including human resource development, youth affairs, and sports and food processing industries. He then received separate charge as a Minister of coal in the year 2001. He was then promoted to Cabinet Minister in Civil Aviation in the second half of 2001. Again in 2003, he took over the Cabinet Ministry for Textiles. He had put tremendous efforts to improve the areas he had been responsible for.

He lost general elections held in 2004. He got elected to Lok Sabha again in the year 2006 after winning the seat in Bhagalpur. He again contested from Bhagalpur and became a member of 15th Lok Sabha. But this winning pattern from Bhagalpur broke when he lost 2014 Lok Sabha election from there with a very small margin. For the year 1998, he contested from Kishanganj for the first time.
