Vijay Arora was born on 27-12-1944 in Amritsar in the state of Punjab, India. He was an Indian Film Actor, Television Actor & Advertising Director who was known for his work in Hindi/Gujarati movies. He was also acted in various television series. His performance in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan (1987) as Indrajit (Meghnad) is always remembered.

Vijay Arora was an actor most renowned for his role of Meghnaad Indrajeet (Ravan's son) in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan. Born in 1944, the actor always remained modest and down to earth. He did select roles and nothing obscene. If not in real life, he was definitely a hero in real life. Even though he belonged to the film industry, he never developed arrogance and attitude. He was one of the leading actors of his time and acted in more than 100 films. He died in 2007 due to stomach related ailments.
 
Vijay graduated from Film and Television Institute of India with a gold medal in 1971. His debut film Zaroorat released in 1972. Later he was seen opposite Asha Parekh in Rakhi Aur Hathkadi and Zeenat Amaan in Yaadon Ki Baaraat. Then came his another blockbuster movie Phagun with Waheeda Rehman and Jaya Bhaduri. His other works include Sargam, Jaan Tere Naam, Roti, Jeevan Jyoti, 36 Ghante, Sabse Bada Sukh etc.
 
Along with silver screen, he also acted in various serials like Ramayan, Bharat Ek Khoj, Talaash, Lakeerein, Pradhan Mantri, etc. He was seen in a Gujarati film Raja Harish Chandra opposite Madhuri Dixit. Other than acting, he was involved in various other activities. He was one of the first in Bollywood to start a software house to develop and produce ad films as per ISO 9000 standards. He even directed and produced a show for children named Ek Tara Bol that won several awards. He also manufactured playing cards for Warner Brothers. He was a gem of a person and arguably one of the finest actors of his time.
