Nicholas Chavez developed a love for performing at an early age, even reenacting the blessing of the Eucharist after attending Mass. He was part of the Colorado Children’s Chorale and performed at venues like the Ellie Caulkins Opera House and the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
In high school, Chavez played football and joined the speech and debate team at East High School. Chavez quit football to focus on acting and later studied at Visionbox Studio Theater under Jennifer McCray Rincon.
While assisting around the theater, he prepared for college auditions and was accepted into top drama programs, including Rutgers, Carnegie Mellon, and NYU.
Chavez attended Rutgers’ Mason Gross School of the Arts but took a leave of absence after two years to pursue acting in Los Angeles. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, he moved back to Florida with his father, working odd jobs while submitting self-tape auditions.
