Dulquer Salmaan’s Career Shift From Corporate World To Acting
The Purdue University graduate worked at an IT firm in Dubai. However, he was bored by the monotonous Corporate life and decided to pursue a career in acting. He then took a three-month course at the Barry John Acting Studio in Mumbai.
Finally, in 2012, Salmaan made his acting debut by starring as Lalu in Second Show. The same year, he worked in two more films, Ustad Hotel and Theevram.
Salmaan did quite well in acting and got job offers in other movies like ABCD: American-Born Confused Desi, 5 Sundarikal, and Pattam Pole. In 2014, he gave his voice work in Koothara.
In 2014, Salmaan debuted in Tamil cinema by playing a romantic role in Salalah Mobiles. He has over 40 credits as an actor and has also produced some projects.

Actor Dulquer Salmaan lives with his wife, Amal Sufiya, a Chennai-based architect. The duo have remained together since they married on December 22, 2011.
The actor once opened up about his marriage with Amal and disclosed how he met his future wife. In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, Salmaan said he had an arrange-cum-love marriage.
Likewise, he disclosed that he met his wife through the family and friend network. When he finished his studies and returned from the US, his friends were keen on getting him married.
Salmaan said his friends and family suggested the name of one of his schoolmates, who was five years old and his junior. He even said he repeatedly and unexpectedly bumped into a girl during his outings.
