EastEnders actor Navi Chowdhry lives with his cancer-warrior wife, Charlie, in England. Unlike his evil on-screen character, Nish Panesar, the English actor of Indian origin, is a supportive husband and a doting father of two kids with his spouse.
In 2020, Chowdhry took to Instagram to share that his wife was diagnosed with cancer and has since been making updates on his partner’s health on the platform. In addition to taking care of his wife, Navi also advocates for cancer awareness.
The Bristol, England-born actor graduated from Imperial College London with a degree in biochemistry.
However, his passion for creative arts led him to pursue acting- he has been working professionally since the late 1980s. Throughout these years, Navin Chowdhry has worked on more than 60 on-screen projects.
Some of his notable TV works include Teachers (2001-03), Sinchronicity (2006), A Touch of Cloth (2012-14), Next of Kin (2018), and EastEnders (2022—present). In addition to acting, he produced two films: This Bastard Business (2000, short) and Lie Still (2005).

As reported, the couple married on July 15, 2011, according to Sikh tradition, as Navi is a Sikh.
On July 15, 2020, Navin posted a photo of himself and his wife on their ninth wedding anniversary. He wrote, “Nine years ago! It’s a Sikh tradition to swap the Kirpan for a croquet mallet after the ceremony!!“

In July 2021, on their 10th wedding anniversary, Navi wrote a lengthy caption admiring his partner’s courage, “[…] Happy Anniversary to this one. 10 years ago today…To my wife – the strongest, bravest, loudest woman I have ever met and the most positive light in my life – I love you.”
Then, in 2022, he shared a throwback picture from their wedding in traditional costume on their 11th anniversary and captioned it, “11 years ago today. Me and Mrs C.”

Navin Chowdhry’s wife, Charlie, is a cancer survivor. The English actor revealed that his wife was diagnosed with triple-positive breast cancer in the summer of 2020. Since sharing the news with his followers, Navin has regularly been giving updates about his wife’s condition.
On December 23, 2020, Navin posted a photo to support his wife with a supportive caption,
“This one starts Chemo today. Cancer, you have no idea who you’re messing with! You touched my wife’s breast, so now she’s gonna kick your arse!! To use the words of the Greatest himself.”
The actor continued, “If you even dream of beating her, you better wake up and apologize. My wife has cancer, but cancer does NOT have my wife. She belongs to those who love her so so much.”
Furthermore, Navin’s fans and followers also show love to his wife. A person in the comment section said, “Sending love, courage, healing, and positive vibes to you guys.” Another said, “Sending huge hugs and positive thoughts.”
In October 2023, during cancer awareness month, he made an IG post with the caption, “Cancer awareness does not end in October.”
In early 2024, Chowdhry posted a throwback video as he shaved Charlie’s head before she started chemotherapy.

Chowdhry Is The Proud Father Of Two Children
Navin Chowdhry is the father of two sons, the youngest of which is Noah. The actor prefers to keep his sons’ details from the media, but he often features them on his Instagram posts.
The actor and his wife, Charlie, became parents for the first time after welcoming their eldest son in April 2012. Three years later, the family of three expanded to four when the couple welcomed their youngest son in April 2015.
On April 26, 2022, Navin posted photos of his two kids to mark their birthdays. While sharing the snaps, the actor captioned, “Happy Birthday Boys!! The eldest hits ten today, and the youngest was seven last week. In the words of a friend – “It goes by heartbreakingly fast.”
He also mentioned an Instagram account registered as @teamlambert2012. The bio of the respective Instagram handle reads, “Pretty much just wall-to-wall pictures of my kids.”
It appears the account was created to upload images of Navin’s kids, but it has been kept private. Furthermore, the Chowdhry family also owns a pet dog, and the actor often features the pet on Instagram.
